Tina Mauerman has been a home health care provider for the past 30 years. Her experience in caregiving has lead her on a journey to enlightenment. She specializes in Alzheimer's Disease. Tina's first experience with Alzheimer's Disease began at 16 when her grandmother was diagnosed. She worked along side her mother and aunt as the disease progressed. When her own mother was diagnosed she quickly enrolled at Youngstown State University to study Gerontology. She took classes to help her understand and manage the disease learning as she went along. Tina truly "gets it" when families are in this fight to keep their lives and the life of their loved one from spiraling out of control. In hopes of helping other families she founded Alzheimer's Friendly World. A place in which she shares new information and stories of caring and proof that the world is beginning to understand the disease. It is a struggle to remain positive in a very negative place but that is exactly what Tina manages to help others do. She moved on to become a hypnotist in order to work with the brain and uses her gift to help people deal with not only the stress of caregiving but also the patient. She has found that hypnosis helps with behavior issues.
Tina has helped people to quit smoking, lose weight and sleep better. Her life goal is to help others and let people see that there is a "Sea of possiblities" in life no matter what the issue you need help in. |
